Description
The main characteristic of travertine stone is that the stone is pitted by the release of carbon dioxide.
Travertine is a natural stone from the limestone family, usually found in deposits near hot springs and hydrothermal springs. It is neither of limestone or marble, but it is sometimes called limestone marble or travertine. In ancient times, travertine was widely used as a building material construction, but today travertine is mainly used outdoors for pool decks, patios, countertops, flooring, showers and tubs and exterior decoration.
